Tuna IGF-I, recombinant protein (Receptor Grade)
IGF-I (Receptor Grade) Insulin-like Growth Factor-I, Tuna (Thunnus maccoyii), Receptor Grade, recombinant Synonyms: Igf-1, insulin-like growth factor-1, Somatomedin c, ILGF1, Mechano growth factor
Product Specifications Tuna IGF-I:
Recombinant tuna (Thunnus maccoyii) insulin-like growth factor-I (rtuIGF-I) is a 68 amino acid polypeptide. IGF-I stimulates growth and differentiation in many cell types and mediates many of the anabolic properties of growth hormone.
Source: Tuna IGF-I is synthesized in E. coli using a patented expression system and the tuna IGF-I is correctly folded and then purified by several liquid chromatography purification steps to yield receptor grade tuna IGF-I.
Purity: > 95% (as determined by HPLC and N-terminal sequence analysis)
Molecular weight: Theoretical : 7481 daltons. Confirmed by Mass Spectrometry.
Appearance: White Powder
N-terminal sequence analysis: 5 residues > 95% single sequence
Endotoxin (LAL): < 0.1 EU/µg
Biological Activity:
Stimulation of protein synthesis in L6 myoblasts - ED50 < 5 nM
State: Lyophilised from 0.1 M acetic acid: under dry nitrogen at a slight vacuum (-25kPa)
Reconstitution: Dissolve in dilute acid (e.g. 10mM HCl or 0.1M acetic acid), aliquot and store at -20°C. For lower dilutions (e.g. < 1mg/ml) inclusion of a carrier protein is recommended. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Storage/Stability: At least 2 years at 2-4°C (lyophilised).
Peptide can be biotinylated by ibt upon request.
This is a Gropep specification. ibt is authorized distributor of GroPep.
