Insulin-like Growth Factor Binding Proteins (IGFBP´s)
Rat IGFBP-5, recombinant protein (Receptor Grade)
Insulin-like Growth Factor Binding Protein-5, Rat, Synonyms: IGF-Binding Protein.5, Ibp5
Product Specifications Rat IGFBP-5:
Description: Rat Insulin-like Growth Factor Binding Protein-5 (rIGFBP-5) is a 252 amino acid protein that is one of the six “classical†IGF binding proteins that play an important role in stabilizing and regulating the activity of IGFs in vivo. Rat IGFBP-5 preferentially binds IGF-II and it also binds with high affinity to extracellular matrix components which protect it from proteolysis. Like human IGFBP-5, rat IGFBP-5 has a nuclear targeting sequence.
