L-EGF (Media Grade)
Human L-EGF is a low-cost, potent analogue of human epidermal growth factor (EGF) developed by GroPep specifically for supplementation of mammalian cell culture to support the survival and proliferation of cells in serum-free or low serum culture. It can be used as a like-for-like replacement for native EGF or recombinant human EGF. It comprises the human EGF amino acid sequence plus a 53 amino acid N-terminal extension peptide.
Synergistic effects have been observed with LR3 IGF-I in HEK293, PER.C6®, MDCK and HeLa cell lines. L-EGF has also shown synergistic effect with L-TGF-α in keratinocyte differentiation and growth.
