Human IGF Binding Protein-2 (hIGFBP-2) is a 289 amino acid protein
that is one of the six 'classical' IGF binding proteins. These binding proteins have an important role in stabilizing and regulating the activity of IGFs in vivo. Human IGFBP-2 binds both IGF-I and IGF-II and modifies their biological activity and bioavailability.
