Rat IGF-I antiserum is a polyclonal antiserum raised against recombinant
rat IGF-I. The antiserum is suitable for radioimmunoassay.
Source:
The antiserum was obtained from rabbits immunized
with recombinant rat IGF-I.
Quantity:
5 µl serum.
Appearance:
Lyophilised powder.
Specificity:
<0.05% cross-reactivity with recombinant human and
chicken IGF-I. No cross-reactivity with recombinant
human and rat IGF-II.
Titre:
Can be used at a dilution of 1/60,000 for
radioimmunoassay.
Reconstitution:
Dissolve in 100 µl sterile water. Dilute in a buffer
suitable for the desired application.
Storage/Stability:
At least 2 years at 2 -4°C (lyophilised). After
reconstitution, aliquot and store at -20°C. Avoid
repeated freezing and thawing.
Radioimmunoassay (RIA):
For radioimmunoassay (RIA), the antiserum is used at a final dilution of 1/60,000.
At this dilution the antiserum binds 20-30% of fresh [125I] rat IGF-I tracer (80
Ci/g). Half maximal inhibition (ED50) of radioligand binding is produced by
<0.2ng of rat IGF-I.
