Anti-Human Nerve Growth Factor
Anti-Mouse Nerve Growth Factor (NGF) immunoglobulin is affinity purified from a polyclonal antiserum raised against mouse NGF (2.5S). This immunoglobulin is suitable for immunohistochemistry, ELISA, Western blotting or in vitro inhibition of biological activity. The antiserum reacts with mouse, rat, human and avian NGF but not bovine NGF. Less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant human Brain Derived Neurotrophic Factor, Neurotrophin 3 or Neurotrophin 4. The antiserum will completely inhibit the survival and neurite outgrowth actions of murine NGF on chicken dorsal root ganglion neurons in vitro. Can be used at a dilution of 1/500 to 1/5,000 for immunohistochemistry, ELISA, Western blotting or inhibition of biological activity in vitro.
