Anti-Growth Hormone, Salmon/Trout
Salmon (Oncorhynchus kisutch) Growth Hormone (GH) antiserum is a polyclonal antiserum raised against recombinant salmon GH. This antiserum is suitable for radioimmunoassay and Western blotting and should find application in immunohistochemistry. The antiserum displays 100% cross-reactivity with recombinant trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) GH, less than 0.1% cross-reactivity with tilapia GH and duck, bovine and human GH. There is no cross-reactivity with salmon- trout gonadotrophin, thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), somatolactin or prolactin. In Western blot analysis, the antiserum recognises both monomeric and dimeric forms of salmon and trout GH. Can be used at a dilution of 1/100,000 to 1/200,000 for radioimmunoassay. For Western blot analysis, the antiserum can be used at a dilution of 1/1000.
