Product specifications monoclonal mouse Anti-Glycoprotein 1 of Sin Nombre Virus (SNV):
Clone: 6C4/H12
Description: Mouse monoclonal antibody IgG fraction (clone 6C4/H12) obtained by immunizing mice with purified recombinant SNV Glycoprotein 1 (G1). The IgG fraction was purified using Protein G-Sepharose.
Isotype: IgG-1.
Storage: Store at -20ºC.
Stability: Stable at least one year at -20ºC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Applications: This antibody can be used in ELISA (1:30,000 dilution) and Western blot (1:20,000 dilution) analysis. It recognizes specifically G1 glycoprotein of SNV. Hantaviruses (family Bunyaviridae) are enveloped viruses that contain a tripartite, negative-stranded RNA genome encoding an RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (L), two integral membrane glycoproteins (G1 and G2), and a nucleocapsid (N) protein. The G1 and G2 glycoproteins form heterodimers and they attach the virion to a cell receptor and to promote fusion membrane after endocytosis of the virion. G1 can dysregulate normal immune and endothelial cell responses and contribute to virus pathogenesis. SNV is the major causative agent of hantavirus pulmonary syndrome in North America and is carried by the deer mouse, Peromyscus maniculatus.
Formulation: Solution at 1.0 mg/ml in PBS.
